Los padres han demostrado su desagrado al ser engañados por apps anunciadas como “gratis” que contienen partes del juego bloqueadas sino se paga una cierta cantidad de dinero.

En un reciente estudio de Google Consumer realizado a 200 padres y abuelos de Estados Unidos, se detectó que el 66% de los encuestados están preocupados por los anuncios que están presentes en muchas de las aplicaciones para niños. El estudio fue realizado por 100 Things – una compañía que desarrolla Apps educativas para niños pequeños.
Muchos desarrolladores de Apps tienen como negocio ofrecer Apps gratis pero incluyendo publicidad en sus juegos. El estudio muestra claramente la preocupación de padres y abuelos al haber dejado a niños pequeños jugando con este tipo de aplicaciones con anuncios.
